Caleb Ewan will lead Team Jayco AlUla in the BEMER Cyclassics Hamburg on Sunday, part of the UCI WorldTour. The five-time Tour De France stage winner has won the race in the past and is looking for success again over a fast, yet demanding parcourse.
Slovenian Luka Mezgec, Olympic team pursuit champion Kelland O´Brien and Australian Blake Quick and Michael Hepburn will be instrumental in supporting Ewan for an anticipated sprint finish.
Rounding out the team will be the powerful Danish duo, Christopher Juul-Jensen and Anders Foldager.
The 2024 edition of the race will see the peloton tackle 198kms around the region of Hamburg, with three times over the Waseberg climb before a fast run into the finish. In what is considered a nail biting final, the victory will be decided in a small breakaway group over the final climbs or a large sprint finish.

Caleb Ewan:
¨Hamburg is a race that I generally target every year and I´ve won it before and come second before so it´s usually a race that suits me pretty well. However, it is a tough one so it´s kind of border line whether it´s easy enough for a sprint or not but I´ve been feeling pretty good in training so I´m hopeful for a good result. We will have to see how the race is raced and the course has changed a little bit in the last year or two which could make it a little bit harder.¨
