Liv AlUla Jayco raring to go for Ronde van Vlaanderen with a team led by Paternoster and Roseman-Gannon

Liv AlUla Jayco are ready for another strong showing at the iconic one-day Classic “De Ronde” on Sunday with Italian star Letizia Paternoster and Australian Ruby Roseman-Gannon.

After battling the gruelling conditions in 2024, Paternoster fought to a solid ninth place and is looking for more after this year after a strong but disruptive early season due to various untimely crashes.

The 25-year-old showed top form at the recent Trofeo Alfredo Binda with fifth place and will be joined on Sunday by former Australian champion Ruby Roseman-Gannon who enjoyed a stunning end to 2024, which included a world title and sixth place at the road world championships.

A mixed team will join the duo, which will include Australian duo Georgia Baker and Amber Pate. Crossing the border into Belgium will be Dutch pair Jeanne Korevaar and Quinty Ton, both in support roles for the challenging 168.8km route that once again takes in the spectacular Koppenberg, Oude Kwaremont and Paterberg cobbled climbs.

“Flanders is one of the biggest races on the calendar and last year we saw an incredible ride from Leti who was in the final until the very end. It’s a challenging race due to the chaos of the cobbled sectors, the climbs, and especially the approach into the bottleneck of the Koppenberg, which comes before the major climbs. In the last few years in wet conditions we’ve seen this dictate the race but in the dry it might make it a bit less significant. I think we have a strong team to really take the challenges of the race on and I’m super motivated to give it everything I have.”

Letizia Paternoster
“I feel motivated and especially after last year, I feel really good in these kinds of races. My shape I think good, and we will see tomorrow. Flanders is always a hard race and anything can happen and for sure we have to take it step by step. I am happy we have a good strong team and if we work well together, we can do something good. I am excited and happy and cannot wait to race and try to get something from this big goal.”

Shawn Clarke – Sport Director
“Flanders is always an exceptionally hard race. We’ve had a solid block of racing here over the past weeks and the team has really been focussing on tomorrow’s “big” one. We go in with Letizia and Ruby as our protected riders. They’ve shown good form recently and we’re going to want an aggressive game plan for the day. The weather looks like it will be good, much kinder than in 2024 and hopefully Letizia and Ruby have good days, and they can be there in the final.”
