Ben O’Connor:
“It’s a beautiful time of the year to race in a wonderful part of the world. A big classic, one of the Monuments, it’s always a special race to wrap the season up with in my case. I’ve always dreamt of performing well in this race. In October, sometimes your cards don’t always fall into place, but we’re crossing our fingers that it all falls into place on Saturday. Hopefully myself and the team can have a good day and we can try to find best result we can. It’s always exciting, I love Il Lombardia and I hope to finish the season in the best way possible”.
David McPartland (Sport Director):
“La classica delle foglie morte” is the last Monument of the year. This is a special race which we have won before in 2016. The atmosphere in northern Italy for this race is electrifying. This year we have a strong line-up to support Ben O’ Connor. Ben is on an upwards trajectory and the route is for sure well suited to him. We hope that we he will be one of the guys in contention for the win when we arrive in Bergamo.”
