🥇 Emma Jeffers is the strongest sprinter of all in the second stage in Tuscany

Emma Jeffers made it two out of two for Liv AlUla Jayco’s Continental Team at Giro Toscana Int. Femminile. After winning the opening stage team time trial, the Irish sprinter made it back-to-back wins for the Australian squad by taking the second stage.

The 20-year-old was the fastest in the bunch sprint which also saw teammate Noä Jansen finish inside the top-10 in eighth place.

The victory means that Jeffers takes over the leader’s jersey from teammate Erin Boothman as well as also leading the points and youth classifications.

“It was another very good day for the team, but it was by no means easy. The roads were quite hard and the race was chaotic. The girls worked hard. They responded to every move to make sure the race was protected. I was always in a safe position at the front at the crucial moments.”

“The win is very special to me. It’s been over a year since I last won, so this victory means a lot to me. I didn’t think there would be another chance to win this year, but suddenly there it is.”
