Ella Wyllie and Mavi García will lead a highly motivated and ambitious Liv AlUla Jayco squad at the three-day Tour de Romandie Féminin, which runs from 15th to 17th August.
Both García and Wyllie come to the three-day Swiss race hot off the heels of strong performances at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift last month and will be aiming to capitalise on their good form. García scored a dramatic solo victory on stage two of the French Grand Tour, while Wyllie put in a very consistent overall performance to take an impressive 12th overall in a tough field.
Also returning to racing following the Tour de France Femmes is Ruby Roseman-Gannon, who provides the team with options for the final punchy stage around Aigle. Completing the well-rounded squad will be Swedish climber Caroline Andersson, and the big engines of Quinty Ton and Amber Pate. All three are back in action following a break over the summer after the Giro d’Italia Women.

“This year’s Tour de France Femmes will leave me a memory for a lifetime! I’m still enjoying the victory here at home with the people around me and it’s very nice. Now, more than the victory itself, I think I’m in a good moment of form and I’m looking forward to going to the Tour de Romandie and making the most of it. I’ll give my best, without a doubt!”

“It’s a very short and sweet race, starting with an uphill time trial of four kilometres and then a mountain top finish on stage two, finishing with a challenging circuit race on stage three. The primary goal is to support Mavi García and Ella Wyllie in the race. They’re coming in after the Tour de France Femmes, they’re both in great shape and have recovered well and we can be ambitious going into this race. It’s a challenging start list with a lot of the same riders as the Tour de France, but we’re looking forward to a great race.
Hopefully, they can have a strong time trial to start with and set themselves up for stage two. Our strategy will be decided when we see what position they’re in after the TT, both from a stage result perspective and the overall classification. A lot of the other riders in the team are coming from a period of training, so it’s a bit of a mixed team here with riders coming in after a mid-season break and others coming in after the Tour de France with plenty of racing in the legs. It’s a great team and we’re really excited to be racing in Switzerland again.”
