Liv AlUla Jayco and Team Jayco AlUla ready for sprint battle in Copenhagen

GreenEDGE Cycling will head to Northern Europe this weekend for a debut event on the cycling calendar as Liv AlUla Jayco and Team Jayco AlUla take on the inaugural Copenhagen Sprint.

The race in Denmark’s capital is a new addition to the World Tour for 2025, boasting a fast and flat course finishing in the centre of the city. With the aptly named Copenhagen Sprint, the race organisers are anticipating a sprint conclusion to both races, and as such, both teams are armed with fast finishers.

Multiple Tour de France stage winner Dylan Groenewegen will lead the charge for Team Jayco AlUla, while Australian’s Georgia Baker and Ruby Roseman-Gannon will look to be in the mix on the Liv AlUla Jayco front.

There will also local interest for the Danish fans as Copenhagen resident Chris Juul-Jensen starts the race alongside compatriot Anders Foldager.

Chris Juul-Jensen:
“To have the chance to do a World Tour Race on my daily training roads is something that I’m very much looking forward to!

Anyone who started the Tour de France in Denmark will remember how incredible the atmosphere was and I expect Sunday to be similar.

Having Dylan on the starting line also means that we have serious ambitions to win and it’s a great opportunity for him and the lead out team to hit the ground running before the de France. We are coming here to win!”

Georgia Baker:
“The course in Copenhagen looks fast and exciting – it’s always special to be part of a new World Tour race. As a new addition to the calendar, this race brings fresh opportunities for everyone and as a team we’re excited to race here.”
