{"id":47847,"date":"2024-10-13T07:35:54","date_gmt":"2024-10-13T07:35:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/greenedgecycling.com\/2024\/?p=47847"},"modified":"2024-10-14T09:56:41","modified_gmt":"2024-10-14T09:56:41","slug":"plapp-to-lead-team-jayco-alula-at-the-tour-of-guangxi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greenedgecycling.com\/2026\/plapp-to-lead-team-jayco-alula-at-the-tour-of-guangxi\/","title":{"rendered":"Plapp to lead Team Jayco AlUla at the Tour of Guangxi"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Australian Champion, <strong>Lucas Plapp<\/strong> has returned from injury and is motivated to fight for the overall general classification in the final <strong>UCI WorldTour<\/strong> race of the year, <strong>Tour of Guangxi<\/strong>. <br><br>The seven-rider team line up will feature Australian trio, <strong>Callum Scottson<\/strong>, <strong>Black Quick<\/strong> and <strong>Lucas Hamilton<\/strong> alongside <strong>Jaan Maas<\/strong>, <strong>Hagos Berhe<\/strong> and <strong>Amund Jansen<\/strong>. The teams sole focus will be to support Plapp\u00b4s general classification ambitions over the challenging terrain of Guangxi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The six-day tour in China starts on October 15 in Fangchenggang and finishes on October 20 in Nanning, covering 1019kms with five hilly stages and one mountain top finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Tour of Guangxi Rider Line-Up:<\/span><br>Hagos Berhe (ETH)<br>Lucas Hamilotn (AUS)<br>Amund Jansen (NOR)<br>Jan Maas (NED)<br>Lucas Plapp (AUS)<br>Black Quick (AUS)<br>Callum Scotson (AUS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Tristian Hoffman &#8211; Sport Director:<\/u><\/strong><br>\u00a8Plapp is feeling good and is ready to go for the General Classification. We have six stages and they\u2019re not easy. There is always some climbing in it, especially in stage 5 with the hilltop finish. The focus will be for Plapp to be there with the first guys and in the other stages to be there for the breakaways and not loosing time.\u00a8<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Lucas Plapp:<\/u><\/strong><br>\u00a8I\u2019m really excited to be back racing and in the peloton. It\u2019s been a long 3 months since having surgery and recovering from the Olympics, so I just can\u2019t wait to be back racing. I\u2019ve had a good month back on the bike and it feels like a start to a brand-new season now!\u00a8<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a8I\u2019m really looking forward to racing in China and giving it a real red-hot crack! It\u2019s going to be a very typical China I believe, with stage 5 being the only real GC day and where we will see the race won. I\u00b4m hoping to have some good legs and see where I can finish on the climb.
