Team Jayco AlUla<\/strong> is pleased to announce the signing of Italian rider Alessandro Covi<\/strong> on a two-year deal, starting in 2026. \u00a0

The 26-year-old, who finished second in this year\u2019s Italian national road race championships, will add to the team\u2019s climbing strength. He also has a fast finish and won an uphill dash to the line at the Giro d\u2019Abruzzo earlier this season, as well as a stage of the Vuelta a Asturias. \u00a0

Covi also knows how to win at Grand Tour level, winning a stage of the Giro d\u2019Italia in 2022 on the iconic Marmolada following a daring 53km solo attack.\u00a0

\u201cI’m really excited to join Team Jayco AlUla for a couple of reasons. First of all, I’ve always admired it for its organisation and the different results the team has achieved over the years, and secondly, because having been born not far from the team service course, I’ve always considered it my home team. I thank UAE Team Emirates XRG for the long time we’ve spent together, but I felt that, after six years, it was the right time to take a new step in my career. I’m convinced that Team Jayco AlUla is the best environment for me to grow further. I bring with me new motivation and hope to be able to celebrate new victories with the team.\u201d<\/em>
