The 2025 edition will start in Como and finish in Bergamo after over 240 km, featuring numerous climbs and 4,400 meters of elevation gain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a route that suits his characteristics, <strong>Ben O&#8217;Connor<\/strong> will be our leader supported by a highly motivated team to achieve the best possible result. Alongside the Australian champion, <strong>Eddie Dunbar<\/strong> and <strong>Mauro Schmid<\/strong> will also be able to play their cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Completing the team are highly experienced rider <strong>Alessandro De Marchi<\/strong>, the talented Italian <strong>Filippo Zana<\/strong>, and the strong Dane <strong>Asbjorn Hellemose<\/strong>. The seventh and final rider for this Lombardia will be <strong>Michael Matthews<\/strong>, fresh from two top-five finishes in his last two races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Team Jayco AlUla at Il Lombardia line-up:<br><\/span>Alessandro De Marchi (ITA)<br>Eddie Dunbar (IRL)<br>Asbj\u00f8rn Hellemose (DEN)<br>Michael Matthews (AUS)<br>Ben O\u2019Connor (AUS)<br>Mauro Schmid (SUI)<br>Filippo Zana (ITA)<br><br><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Ben O\u2019Connor:<br><\/strong><\/span><em>\u201cIt\u2019s a beautiful time of the year to race in a wonderful part of the world. A big classic, one of the Monuments, it\u2019s always a special race to wrap the season up with in my case.\u00a0I\u2019ve always dreamt of performing well in this race. In October, sometimes your cards don\u2019t always fall into place, but we\u2019re crossing our fingers that it all falls into place on Saturday. Hopefully myself and the team can have a good day and we can try to find best result we can. It\u2019s always exciting, I love Il Lombardia and I hope to finish the season in the best way possible\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">David McPartland (Sport Director)<\/span><\/strong>:<br><em>\u201cLa classica delle foglie morte\u201d is the last Monument of the year. This is a special race which we have won before in 2016. The atmosphere in northern Italy for this race is electrifying. This year we have a strong line-up to support Ben O\u2019 Connor. Ben is on an upwards trajectory and the route is for sure well suited to him.
