Alan Hatherly<\/strong> and Paul Double<\/strong> will headline an ambitious Team Jayco AlUla<\/strong> at next week\u2019s AlUla Tour<\/strong>, starting 27 January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hatherly is back for another tilt at the AlUla general classification after taking a top-10 finish at last year\u2019s edition, his first appearance in the now iconic MAAP purple. Sharing GC duties with the South African is Double, who starts the 2026 season full of confidence after rounding out last year with the overall victory at the Tour of Guangxi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the Australian team\u2019s general classification ambitions, the squad will be targeting sprint success with Pascal Ackermann<\/strong> \u2013 who is making his Team Jayco AlUla debut in AlUla. He will be well-supported by experienced leadout man Luka Mezgec<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forming the powerful engine room of the team will be Patrick Gamper<\/strong> as well as two Belgian newcomers in Dries De Bondt<\/strong> and Dries De Pooter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m excited to go to AlUla, I\u2019ve seen the pictures and it\u2019s a big part of our team so I\u2019m looking forward to going there and seeing it in person. I\u2019ve got some confidence from last year and finishing it the way that I did with a WorldTour GC win. It\u2019s different at the start of the season and things are a bit more unknown but I believe that we are training well going in and I\u2019m looking forward to seeing what we can do there as a team.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe expect to see a really good performance in AlUla with excellent team work on the sprint stages and in the GC. If we can show that then we should be in the fight for stage wins, we should be competitive in the sprint finishes and also on the GC. Last year, Alan was fourth before he lost some time in the wind. If we can get it right this year, there\u2019s every chance that we can finish on the podium or even take the win overall. I\u2019m really looking forward to it, and I think the boys are too. We\u2019ve got a good group for the sprints with a strong group to set that up and then the two guys who can fly up hill as well in Alan and Paul.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
