Liv AlUla Jayco<\/strong> head into the Opening Weekend<\/strong> of the Belgian Classics<\/strong> with a team prepared for all eventualities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting with the iconic Omloop Het Nieuwsblad<\/strong>, followed by Le Samyn des Dames<\/strong> two days later for the Aussie squad, the Opening Weekend marks the first foray onto the rough Belgian cobbles for the WorldTour squad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Headlining the roster for Omloop Het Nieuwsblad are Letizia Paternoster<\/strong>, Ruby Roseman-Gannon<\/strong>, and Caroline Andersson<\/strong> who give the team multiple options whether the race ends in a sprint or splinters into smaller groups. A former top 10 finisher at Omloop, Quinty Ton<\/strong> adds to the team\u2019s firepower and cards to play in what can be an unpredictable weekend of racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Georgia Baker<\/strong> comes in for Le Samyn, making it a seven-rider line-up, and adds further to the team’s sprint options. She will be aiming to improve on her solid fifth place finish at last year\u2019s edition, with Paternoster and Roseman-Gannon also contenders for the podium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Veteran rider Jeanne Korevaar<\/strong> provides a wealth of experience for both races. Meanwhile, WorldTour neo-pro No\u00e4 Jansen<\/strong> completes the roster for Omloop Het Nieuwsblad while Amber Pate<\/strong> finalises the Le Samyn des Dames line up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI always feel a mixture of excitement and trepidation with the Classics, because they’re such intense and demanding races given the parcours and weather conditions. There’s a lot of energy from the crowds and at times, it kind of feels like going into a battle of sorts. I’m really confident in our Classics team and the diversity of strengths we have between us, including Leti’s sprinting abilities and Caroline’s impressive 2025 performances on similar terrain. Personally, I feel like I’m a really good place mentally and physically for the challenge of the spring Classics.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe opening weekend of the Classics is here and as a team we are ready. We will start with a strong and well-balanced team, giving us several options in every race situation. On the Muur van Geraardsbergen the real selection will be made, so we will need to be sharp there. After that, we\u2019ll assess the race situation and decide how to proceed. I don\u2019t want to name one specific rider, because anything can happen on these beautiful, typical Flemish roads and climbs. With the line-up we have, we always have a back-up plan to execute our strategy and get the best out of ourselves.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
