Over in the men’s team, Vendrame will also have support after a string of consistent results so far this season, with a stacked line-up including a trio of local Italian riders in the shape of Alessandro Covi, Davide De Pretto and Italian champion Filippo Conca.

The charm of Siena and the incredible countryside surrounding this important medieval city will set the stage for the twentieth edition for the men, and the eleventh for the women. Both men and women’s squads will face a slightly different edition for 2026 with fewer kilometres of gravel roads, especially in the first part of the race.

More specifically, this year’s women’s race will feature only 34 kilometres of gravel roads compared to 50km in 2025, while the men’s race will feature 66 kilometres compared to last year’s 82. The final part of the race remains the same, taking in the climbs of Monte Sante Marie (11 km, including 4.5 km uphill), Colle Pinzuto, the formidable Tolfe, and the often decisive final climb of Santa Caterina just before the finish line in Piazza del Campo, which has a maximum gradient of 16%. In total, the men will have to tackle 201 kilometers, while the women’s race will cover 131 km.

Monica Trinca Colonel
“Regardless of the result, I’ll try to enjoy it to the fullest. The Strade Bianche is, without a doubt, my favourite race, and every time I arrive in Siena, I already think about next year’s edition. I’m coming off a second-place finish at the UAE Tour, and I’m in good shape. I’m ready and hope to achieve a good result for both myself and our team. This year, too, there will be many people coming to Tuscany to cheer me on, and I hope to also create a great atmosphere in Piazza del Campo.”

Liv AlUla Jayco roster for Strade Bianche:
Caroline Andersson (SWE)
Ruby Roseman-Gannon (AUS)
Josie Talbot (AUS)
Monica Trinca Colonel (ITA)
Matilde Vitillo (ITA)
Ella Wyllie (NZL)

Andrea Vendrame
“My personal goal for the Strade Bianche is to finish in the top-ten. It’s a race I’ve always enjoyed, and in past editions, I’ve always finished in the top twenty. Unfortunately, I was missing something to compete for a top ten spot, but this year, I’m definitely motivated to achieve it. I’m coming into this Strade Bianche in better shape than in previous years, and my fifth place in Laigueglia also confirmed that I’m on the right track. Saturday’s Strade Bianche and starting Monday’s Tirreno-Adriatico will open up a series of races where I really want to perform at my best.”

Team Jayco AlUla roster for Strade Bianche:
Filippo Conca (ITA)
Alessandro Covi (ITA)
Dries De Bondt (BEL)
Davide De Pretto (ITA)
Anders Foldager (DEN)
Alan Hatherley (RSA)
Andrea Vendrame (ITA)

Photo: Sprint Cycling

Team Jayco AlUla and Liv AlUla Jayco line-up with Italian leaders for the iconic Strade Bianche this Saturday, with Monica Trinca Colonel and Andrea Vendrame heading the charge.
