Sidney Swierenga<\/strong> has claimed overall victory in the Giro della Toscana<\/strong> (Premondiale Giro Toscana Int. Femminile \u2013 Memorial Michela Fanini) after finishing sixth in the third and final stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The five riders from Team Liv AlUla Jayco\u2019s Continental Team<\/strong> controlled the final stage superbly, ensuring the breakaway\u2019s lead did not grow too large before closing the gap as the finish line came into view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the penultimate climb to Montecatini Terme, the race exploded and Swierenga found herself at the front with six other riders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 19-year-old Canadian talent kept her cool and withstood the attacks from her rivals in the elite group, which gained a one-minute lead over the peloton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The race came down to a sprint for victory in the streets of Montecatini Terme with Swierenga taking sixth place, thereby securing the overall victory after an extremely strong stage race. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
