Olympic gold medallist\u00a0Oliver Bleddyn\u00a0<\/strong>will make the step up to the\u00a0WorldTour\u00a0peloton\u00a0with\u00a0Team Jayco\u00a0AlUla<\/strong>,\u00a0inking his first professional contract for 2027 and 2028.\u00a0

The 24-year-old\u00a0has spent the\u00a0last\u00a0two months\u00a0as a\u00a0stagiaire\u00a0with the team and the management are looking forward to working with the Australian as the track star\u00a0turns his focus to the roads.\u00a0

Bleddyn\u00a0was part of the Australian team pursuit squad that triumphed in the velodrome at Paris 2024 alongside his new teammate Kelland\u00a0O\u2019Brien. The rider from New South Wales also\u00a0added a Commonwealth Games gold in the individual pursuit in Glasgow earlier this year, boosting his already impressive\u00a0palmares on the track.

In recent years,\u00a0Bleddyn has juggled his\u00a0successful\u00a0career on the track alongside his efforts on the road, taking a silver medal in the Australian time trial championships at the start of 2026 and winning the\u00a0ProVelo\u00a0Super League overall title in March.\u00a0

With his explosive pedigree, the squad is looking forward to seeing what the\u00a0Australian\u00a0can\u00a0achieve\u00a0on the road\u00a0under the team\u2019s guidance.\u00a0Adding his combination of speed, strength and time\u00a0trial ability to the roster will boost the team\u2019s engine\u00a0room,\u00a0making Bleddyn an exciting addition\u00a0for the coming season.\u00a0

Seeing the culture\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0been built over the years makes the opportunity to now be part of that\u00a0really\u00a0special.\u00a0\u00a0

I\u2019m\u00a0really excited about what next year can bring. There are some great opportunities ahead and\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0super keen to make the most of them. The Tour Down Under would\u00a0definitely be\u00a0a special race for me to do. To race at home with this team is an opportunity\u00a0I\u2019d\u00a0be really excited about.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>

He is a great and\u00a0enthusiastic\u00a0young rider and\u00a0is\u00a0also gaining a lot of experience on the road, riding as a stagiaire with the team this second half of the 2026 season. We are confident\u00a0Oliver will be\u00a0a great addition\u00a0to the team in many\u00a0different\u00a0roles,\u00a0he will be an important rider for us\u00a0across\u00a0many different team line-ups\u00a0and races and will certainly continue to develop in the next few years.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
