Mavi García will lead Liv AlUla Jayco’s general classification goals at the UAE Tour Women, which kicks off on 6th February.
García comes back to the roads of the UAE for the second time after taking third place overall at the 2024 edition following a big performance on the Queen stage to Jebel Hafeet. Meanwhile, Letizia Paternoster also returns as she targets stage success on the race’s sprint days.
Backing up García and Paternoster is a strong team built for climbing and crosswinds. Italian racer Monica Trinca Colonel will make her debut in Liv AlUla Jayco colours at the four-day race, providing mountain support.
Jeanne Korevaar, Quinty Ton, and Anna Trevisi complete the line up and add support for the sprint train as well as the potentially dangerous crosswinds that can whip through the region’s deserts.
In addition to the summit finish on Jebel Hafeet, which should decide the overall classification, there are three flat stages that could certainly throw up some surprises.

“I am really excited to go back to the UAE Tour. I have really good memories from last year when I finished third overall. It was a really nice race with the team and also a very good result in the end. During the pre-season, I have been working very hard and in it has been going well for me. I have raced already in Mallorca with the national team, and I felt in really good condition. I think I’m ready for competing in the UAE Tour and I’m looking forward to it.”

“The team is really motivated to do well at the UAE Tour. The atmosphere and spirit in the team is great, everybody wants to start racing, and the results Down Under for sure give a boost to the riders racing here. For the UAE Tour, we have Mavi in top shape with a great team behind her.
We have good riders for echelons and that will be important to keep Mavi near the top of GC before going into stage 3, the summit finish on Jebel Hafeet, where Mavi last year showed to be really good. This year, she will have strong support from Monica, who’s also going really well. On the stages where it comes down to a bunch sprint, we have Letizia. She had a strong end to last season and she can have some great results here. Overall, we have a strong team going into the UAE Tour and riders that are ready to go for it.”
