Tristian Hoffman – Sport Director:
¨Plapp is feeling good and is ready to go for the General Classification. We have six stages and they’re not easy. There is always some climbing in it, especially in stage 5 with the hilltop finish. The focus will be for Plapp to be there with the first guys and in the other stages to be there for the breakaways and not loosing time.¨
Lucas Plapp:
¨I’m really excited to be back racing and in the peloton. It’s been a long 3 months since having surgery and recovering from the Olympics, so I just can’t wait to be back racing. I’ve had a good month back on the bike and it feels like a start to a brand-new season now!¨
¨I’m really looking forward to racing in China and giving it a real red-hot crack! It’s going to be a very typical China I believe, with stage 5 being the only real GC day and where we will see the race won. I´m hoping to have some good legs and see where I can finish on the climb. We have a super group of boys and always nice to have multiple Aussies at the race, so it is going to be a ripper trip away and fingers crossed we can find some results throughout.¨
